FAQs
What topics do you write about?
My work spans across most industries including technology, health & wellness, science, the arts, finance and many more. I also write memoirs. Since I’ve written about dozens of topics, I can bring fresh thinking and multiple perspectives to your project.
What are your rates?
I work on a per-project basis. Fees depend on the scope of work. Call me anytime at 415.505.7702 to discuss your idea, and I can turn around an estimate in a day or two.
What’s it like to work with you?
Is it a contradiction to boast about not having a big ego? Point is, I’m serious about my work but I don’t take myself too seriously. We’ll work hard together but hopefully enjoy some laughs along the way.
What do you expect of your clients?
We’ll be entering into a relationship, so there needs to be trust, a willingness to be open, with clear and timely communication. You can expect the same of me.
Do you have criteria for the projects you take on?
I don’t view my work as transactional. My only requirements: Good rapport with the client and genuine enthusiasm for the task at hand.
Can I see writing samples?
My ghostwriting projects are confidential, so I can’t share any of that. You can get a sense of my ability by reading my own articles.
Do you offer any services other than ghostwriting?
From time to time I’ll work on messaging, web content, and other branding and marketing projects.
How the heck did you get thecomposer.com?
It was one of life’s happy accidents. I was preparing to leave my last “real job” to go solo, with plans to use thescribe.com for my business. But that URL was no longer available. Then I remembered how a co-worker jokingly called me “The Composer” because, according to him, I created beauty out of the mundane. I snatched thecomposer.com and still feel joy every time I tell people how to find me online.
How We Collaborate
Hiring a ghostwriter is like dating. There has to be trust and comfort. We have to genuinely like each other and have equal enthusiasm for the project. Let’s get to know each other and see if there’s a fit.
